The press part is mainly composed of a press roller with different functions and structures。 The paper press felt is used as a paper  dewatering medium and a support for transmission, and a subsidiary component, such as a guide roll and a blanket roller, forms a press flow. Press roll can be divided according to the number of rollers and their roles. According to the number is divided into double roller press and multi roller press two categories; According to the functions of each group, they are divided into ordinary press, back press, gloss press, transfer press, extrusion press, etc.; Ordinary fourdrinier machine has double roll press 2~4 group; high speed paper machine adopts multi roll press more, by more than three press roll composite press, can make a wet sheet press dry degree reached 48～55%.

Function of Press Part

1. Take off the wet paper moisture as much as possible with mechanical press.

2. Increase the dryness of wet paper in the drying section as much as possible, and save the energy consumed by drying. 

3. At the same time of dehydration, increase the adhesion of the fiber in the paper, improve the quality of the paper.

4. Sheet is formed in the wire section, but at this time the wet paper tissue is loose. When the press is dehydrated, the distance between the fibers is shortened due to the squeezing between the press rollers, and the force of fiber interweaving and hydrogen bonding is enhanced, thereby improving the compactness and strength of the paper. At the same time, the quality of the surface of the paper is improved by rolling the smooth roll surface, the net mark is eliminated, the smoothness of the paper are improved, and the difference between the two surfaces is reduced. 

5. Transfer wet paper from wire section to dryer. The press dewatering process is also a page transfer process, because of the low strength wet paper state, the main use of blankets as wet paper support, and promote the realization of press dehydration.
